How do you thank
someone for going beyond the “call of duty”?
When Igor and I started looking for photographers we
never thought we would find someone we could trust to
capture our special day. We met with many photographers
and all of them did the same thing, they tried to sell
us exactly what we did not want. We thought it was odd
that these people, who hadn’t even photographed
us, wanted to sell us a “package” with what
seemed like 8,000 photos we haven’t even seen yet!
When we met you at the wedding show we also met about
30 other photographers. You were the only one we remembered.
We remembered you, Richard, not only because of your
personality and professionalism but your photos were
beautiful. Your pictures looked very natural and candid.
I can say that of all of the vendors I worked with planning
our wedding you were the only one that put me at ease.
We had a wonderful caterer and DJ, but nobody else made
me feel like I could just show up on my wedding day and
they would take care of everything. That was the feeling
I got every time I talked with you leading up to the
wedding. Anyone who has ever planned a wedding knows
that it is not as much fun as you think it will be, it’s
really very stressful and that is why that meant so much
to me.
Richard and Maryann, I know that I can speak for my entire family and friends
when I say you made this a wonderful experience. I always had a picture in
my head of some “corny” photographer driving my family crazy, trying
to get them to pose and say “Cheese!”, but I can say our experience
was the exact opposite. We had so much fun with you both. As you now know,
I am not a shy person, yet some of your brides probably are and may be uncomfortable
with a male photographer in the room. So, I think it is very nice that Maryann is there to
take the “early-in-the-morning” getting ready photos.
We wanted to thank you for the kindness you used with Igor’s family.
It meant a lot to us that you gave them just as much attention as my family.
I know the language barrier was difficult but you did a wonderful job. I caught
you making them laugh when they didn’t even know what they were laughing
at!
When Igor and I came to look at our photos we were amazed! I think the biggest
shock was that we didn’t even know that half of them were taken. When
we first looked at vendors we were going to get a videographer because I wanted
to remember this day the way it happened, not in posed photos. But what you
gave us was more, it was every moment of that day, waking up (Literally!:)
until we went off to our honeymoon suite. Not just a video of our ceremony
or our reception. I can look at my photos and see things I never saw that day,
because I was nervous or rushed or just having a blast with my new husband
and my family. I have pictures that bring tears to my eyes of my Father and
I dancing our father-daughter dance. The special ones you thought to take of
his hand on my waist or the look in his eye that I couldn’t notice because
I was so nervous myself. Or most importantly, Igor and I dancing the dance
we spent 6 months on in private dance lessons only to hold each other so tight
we didn’t even show everyone what we learned. When we look at our pictures
we think that you must have had 4 or 5 photographers there to get the photos
you got. Somehow you and Maryann were everywhere at once.
We hope that everything is well with you and we want to thank you from the
bottom of our hearts for all of the moments you captured for us. People always
told me that my wedding day would fly by, but I had no idea how true that was
until now. I am so glad we chose you to share that special day with us; thanks
to you we will always have these wonderful memories.
Sincerely,
Igor and Tiffany Krumins
